OAKLEY is a new addition to us as of 2025, having joined the BlackFoot family at over 2 years of age, purchased with the intention of becoming part of our breeding program, but she is so much more than just a breeding female. Oakley had no formal training (pretty much not beyond learning the word "sit") and had never seen a real bird before joining us ....and wow .... her instinct and intelligence has shined through in more than one way; she LOVES to retrieve, she LOVES to work on real birds, she is soft mouthed and highly trainable. Her Dam is a family companion and hunting partner with from a proven line of British / U.K dogs. Her sire's side is built from well known and accomplished American field trial and hunt test linage. We plan to pursue her first hunt tests in Fall 2026 and anticipate she will hhave earned her JH title prior to her next litter. Oakley is a small dog of only about 55 lbs with a LOT of muscle and a medium framed bone structure. She is beautifully balanced in terms of her leg height for her size and is a powerful mover and swimmer. Sweet- sweet- sweet in nature, we can not speak highly enough about her attitude and overall temperament. Dog, Cat, and People friendly to the core. Oakley's first litter with "Jed" QA2 is showing amazing promise in the field and in other sports: agility, obedience, and SAR/Detection homes all have these pups in training and all are sending rave reviews!
